Rego Park Tattoo is a small team with complementary skills and one shared approach: listen carefully, explain the work clearly, and give each project the attention it deserves.
Marco founded Rego Park Tattoo after years of tattooing clients around Queens and developing a particular interest in black and grey and portrait work. He still keeps paper sketchbooks at the studio and often starts larger compositions by hand before refining their placement for the body. Outside the shop, he is the person on the team most likely to disappear into a neighborhood record store and come back talking about an album cover's artwork.
Nadia came to tattooing through illustration and brings that drawing-first mindset to fineline, botanical, and illustrative projects. She is known around the studio for keeping a folder of leaf, flower, and architectural sketches made while walking around Queens. She especially enjoys helping clients simplify a complicated reference into a cleaner tattoo composition.
Luis handles piercing and helps keep the practical side of the studio organized, from client questions to appointment preparation. A longtime Queens local, he has a habit of remembering returning clients and the stories behind their previous visits. His calm way of explaining each step is especially useful for people coming in for a first piercing.
We start by understanding what the client is actually asking for. That means the subject, style, placement, approximate size, references, and any existing tattoos that affect the project. From there, we make practical recommendations about composition and scale rather than forcing every idea into its original form.
On appointment day, we want the plan to feel clear. Placement is checked before work begins, questions are welcome, and larger projects are handled in sensible stages when needed. We finish by making sure the client understands the relevant aftercare instead of sending them out with unanswered questions.
