About Rego Park Tattoo

Rego Park Tattoo is a New York tattoo studio built around careful work, direct conversation, and the idea that a neighborhood shop should feel approachable whether you are getting tattooed for the first time or adding to a long-running collection.

Our Story

Owner Marco DeLuca came into tattooing through drawing. Growing up around Queens, he filled sketchbooks with portraits, neighborhood scenes, lettering, and album-inspired artwork before an apprenticeship turned that habit into a trade. The early years taught him that technical ability was only part of being a good tattoo artist. The other part was learning how to listen when someone was trusting you with an image they planned to carry for years.

After working with clients from different parts of Queens, Marco kept seeing the same thing: people appreciated artists who would explain why a design needed more room, why a reference might need to change, or why one placement suited an idea better than another. He wanted to build a studio around those conversations. Rego Park felt natural because it was part of the network of neighborhoods he already knew and a place where a genuinely local studio could serve people from Rego Park, Forest Hills, Corona, Elmhurst, Middle Village, Briarwood, and beyond.

Rego Park Tattoo grew from that idea. Marco later brought in Nadia Rahman, whose background in illustration and patient eye for detail complemented his black and grey and portrait work. Luis Vega joined as piercer and studio coordinator, giving clients a familiar person to speak with about piercing and the practical side of appointments. The team still measures the studio by a simple standard: take the work seriously without making the client feel intimidated.

How We Work

Listen before drawing

The story, subject, placement, and visual preferences all matter. We ask questions before deciding what the tattoo should become.

Make practical recommendations

Sometimes a design needs more room, less detail, or a different composition. We explain those decisions in plain language.

Respect the commitment

A tattoo is a lasting choice. We do not treat design approval or placement as something to rush through.

Keep the studio approachable

Experienced collectors and first-time clients should both feel comfortable asking questions and understanding what comes next.
